How to Add a Document, Image, or URL to the Mobile App

Add documents, images, or external web pages directly to your mobile app using the External Content Quick Link. This allows attendees to access important resources such as event guides, brochures, maps, forms, and external websites directly from the app.

Accessing External Content

To add a document, image, or URL to your mobile app:

  1. Go to Backend > Mobile App > App Builder.

  2. Open the Quick Links section.
  3. Click Add Link.

  4. Search for and select External Content.

  5. Click Continue.

The Basic panel will open, where you can configure the content you want to display.

 

Choosing a Content Type

Under Content Type, select the type of content you want to add.

Three options are available:

  • URL
  • PDF
  • Image

 

The options available after selecting a content type depend on the type of content you choose.

Adding a URL

Select URL from the Content Type dropdown. Enter the URL you want to make available through the mobile app.

You will also see the following setting:

"Open the URL Within the App Instead of an External Browser"

Enable this option if you want the URL to open directly within the mobile app. When enabled, the URL opens within the app. If the option is not enabled, the URL opens in an external browser.

Adding a PDF

Select PDF from the Content Type dropdown and upload or select the PDF you want to make available in the app.

PDF files open natively within the mobile app. No browser setting is required.

This can be useful for resources such as:

  • Event guides
  • Brochures
  • Floor plans
  • Exhibitor directories
  • Schedules
  • Information packs

Adding an Image

Select Image from the Content Type dropdown and upload or select the image you want to display in the app.

Images open natively within the mobile app.

This can be useful for sharing event maps, informational graphics, promotional content, or other visual resources.
