How to Create a Segment Using Dynamic Filters

Learn how to build precise audience segments with the new dynamic filter system in the Segments module. This lets you combine multiple registration fields, approval status, and session reservations using grouped conditions.

Step 1: Open Segment Creation

Head over to the Segments module in the backend.
Click + Create Segment to open the Segment Drawer.

Step 2: Build User Conditions

The old dropdowns have been replaced with a dynamic Property → Condition → Value structure.

When you choose a field, the conditions and values shown will update automatically based on that selection. Results update instantly so you can see the impact of your filters.

Available Property

  • Registration Form Fields – All the fields you added to your event registration form (e.g., First Name, Last Name, Email, Company, Job Title, Phone, etc.).

  • Payments – Ticket ID (all ticket IDs set up in the event are populated here, allowing segmentation based on ticket type)
  • Pre Approved Users – Filter users by their pre-approval status.

  • Approval Flow – Filter based on approval status (e.g., Approved, Rejected, Pending).

  • Session Reservation – Filter based on whether attendees have reserved specific sessions.

  • User Information – Filter based on system-level data like login activity.

You can add multiple filters and group them with AND/OR logic for precise targeting. Groups can also be nested for more advanced conditions.

Step 3: Preview and Save

  • As you add filters, the system shows a real-time participant count matching your conditions.

  • Click Save Segment to store it for reuse.

  • When re-opened, all your filters and groupings will be restored exactly as you saved them.

The new segmentation flow makes it simple to build dynamic, accurate segments with live participant counts, ensuring organizers can run highly targeted campaigns.
