How to disable registration from and register button

This guide will walk you through the steps to disable both the registration form and register button.

Step 1: Go to Event Setup

Start by logging into your event platform. From the main dashboard, navigate to the Event Setup section. This option can be found in the left navigation menu

Step 2: Locate the "Disable Registration" and "Hide Register Button" Option

In the Settings section, look for the option labeled Disable Registration and Hide Register Button. These features will allow you to turn off the registration form and remove the register button from your event page.

Step 4: Toggle the "Disable Registration" and "Hide Register Button" Options

To disable the registration form and register button, click on the toggle next to Disable Registration and Hide Register Button to turn it on. When this option is enabled, the registration form will no longer be visible, and the "Register" button will be disabled, preventing new attendees from signing up.

Step 5: Click "Update" to Save Your Changes

After enabling the "Disable Registration" option, make sure to click the Update button to save your changes. This will immediately stop new registrations from being processed and remove the ability to register for the event.

Why Disable the Registration Form and Register Button?

  • Event Full or Closed: If your event has reached its maximum capacity or registration deadline, disabling the registration form and register button ensures that no further attendees can sign up.
  • Control Access: If you need to restrict access to specific groups of people, disabling public registration can give you more control over who is able to attend.
  • Prevent Confusion: Disabling registration ensures that attendees don’t try to sign up after the event has ended or once it has reached its capacity, preventing confusion or frustration.

Additional Tips:

  • Inform Your Attendees: If the registration form is being disabled due to a specific reason (e.g., event full or registration deadline), consider informing your potential attendees in advance through email, social media, or event notifications.
  • Monitor Registration Closures: If your event allows multiple stages of registration (e.g., early bird, VIP, etc.), be sure to keep an eye on registration periods and update the settings accordingly when each phase closes.
  • Re-enable Registration: If you later decide to reopen registration or extend the deadline, you can always return to the Event Setup section and disable the "Disable Registration" toggle to allow new sign-ups.

By following these steps, you can easily disable the registration form and register button, ensuring that no further attendees can register for your event.
