How to Enable Session Check-Ins in the vFairs Onsite App

Learn how to enable and use session check-ins in the vFairs Onsite App to track attendee participation for individual sessions.

Enabling Session Check-Ins in Backend

  1. Go to your Event Backend.
  2. Navigate to Badge Printing App.
  3. Click Badge Printing Settings.

  4. Open the Addons Settings tab.
  5. Enable the toggle “Enable Session Check-In.”


  6. Click Update Settings.

Once enabled, session check-in functionality will be available in the Onsite App.

Accessing Session Check-In in the Onsite App

  1. Open the vFairs Onsite App.
  2. On the home screen, locate the Session Check-In tile.

This tile appears automatically once the feature is enabled.

Checking In Attendees to Sessions

  1. Tap the Session Check-In tile.
  2. You will see a list of sessions in your event.
  3. Each session card includes:
    1. A QR Icon
    2. A View Participants List option

Option 1: Check In Using QR Code

             
  1. Tap the QR icon to open the scanner.
  2. Scan the attendee’s QR code.

After scanning:

  • The attendee’s profile will open with a “Check In” button
  • Tap Check In to confirm the session check-in
  • A success message will be displayed

Option 2: Check In from Participants List

  1. Tap View Participants List on the session card.

  2. A list of event participants will open.
  3. Use the Filter icon on the top-right corner to filter users by:
    • Checked In
    • Not Checked In
  4. Locate the attendee you want to check in.
  5. Open their profile and tap Check In.

This method is useful when attendees are unable to present their QR codes or when staff need to manually manage attendance.

Viewing Session Check-In Analytics

To view overall session check-in stats:

  1. Go back to the Home screen.
  2. Tap the Event Analytics tile.
  3. Scroll down to Session Check-Ins Stats.
  4. Expand the section to view detailed insights.

Here, you can track:

  • Total check-ins per session
  • Attendance trends
  • Remaining attendees (if applicable)
