Learn how to connect your FTP server with vFairs to automatically receive custom CSV reports. This step-by-step guide details the FTP export setup screen, ensuring that your reports are securely delivered to your server on a scheduled basis
Navigating to the FTP Integration Setup
To access the FTP Export integration:
- Log in to the backend dashboard.
- From the left menu, scroll to Integrations.
- Select the FTP integration app.
- Hit Launch Setup to begin.
1. FTP Credentials
To begin, enter your FTP server details. This authenticates your account and allows vFairs to securely transmit files.
- Server URL: Enter your full FTP server address.
- Port Number: The default FTP port is 21, but ensure this matches your server configuration.
- User Name & Password: Supply the credentials for an authorized FTP user account.
- Remote Directory Path (Optional): If you want the reports stored in a specific subfolder, specify the directory path here.
- Make sure your firewall allows passive ports (typically 10000–10003) as noted on the setup screen.
2. Reports: Select Custom Reports
Specify which custom reports you’d like delivered to your FTP server.
- Select Reports: Choose one or more custom CSV reports from the dropdown menu. All selected reports will be included in each export batch.
- You may update your selection at any time to meet your evolving reporting needs.
3. Enable Automated Daily Exports & Date Range
Automate the delivery of your reports and define the coverage window.
- Enable Automated Exports: Toggle the switch to activate scheduled daily exports.
- Start & End Date (if available): Some configurations allow date-range scheduling for precise control.
- Exports occur every 24 hours while automation is enabled for the selected range.
Finalizing Setup
- Once you've filled in all fields, use the Test Connection button to verify your FTP credentials and connectivity.
- When the test is successful, finalize your configuration by clicking Complete Setup.
- Automated exports will now begin based on your preferences.
