How to set up ticket limits and offer dynamic prices

Effectively managing ticket availability and pricing is essential for maximizing event attendance and ensuring a seamless registration process. Here's how you can set ticket limits and configure dynamic pricing for your tickets.

Step 1: Access the Ticket Types Section

  1. Navigate to the Registrations Module in the backend.
  2. Go to Ticket Types and click on +Add to open the ticket configuration sidebar.

Step 2: Enter Ticket Details

  1. Fill in the necessary details for the ticket, such as Ticket Name, Description, User Type and Base Price.
  2. Add any additional details required, including availability dates, tax percentage and so on.

Step 3: Set Ticket Limits

  1. In the sidebar, locate the Limitation field.
  2. Enter the total number of tickets available for this type.
    • Once this quantity is sold out, the ticket will display as "Sold Out" on the registration form.

Step 4: Configure Price Adjustments

  1. To schedule a price change, scroll to the Hike/Drop by field.
  2. Enter the date when the price adjustment should take effect.
  3. In the Price Hike/Drop Amount field, enter the new ticket price:
    • For example, if the ticket is currently $10 and you want to change it to $20, enter 20.
    • After the specified date, the ticket price will automatically update to reflect the new amount.

This allows you to automate early-bird pricing or implement late registration surcharges without manual intervention.

Best Practices for Ticket Limits and Price Adjustments

  • Ticket Limits: Use this feature to manage capacity and create urgency. For instance, if you have 300 seats available, set the limitation accordingly to prevent overselling.
  • Price Adjustments: Encourage early registrations by offering lower prices initially and increasing them closer to the event.

Finalizing Your Ticket

After entering all the details, click Save to apply your settings. The registration form will now enforce ticket limits and automatically adjust prices based on the specified dates.

By setting up ticket limits and automated price changes, you can streamline your registration process while driving strategic ticket sales.
