This guide explains how to enable Restream in vFairs, create sessions, and go live on event day.
Enabling Restream on vFairs

Go to: Event Settings → General → Advanced Settings → Sessions.

Enable the toggle "Enable Restream Webinar."

Enter the Restream User ID if available. If left blank, vFairs will auto-generate one.

Note: A Restream User ID is event-specific.

Creating a Restream Webinar
Restream webinars are created just like other webinars in the Webinar Listing Page with two options:
Option A: Default Auto-Configuration

If you leave the "Advanced Settings" toggle blank, the following fields will be auto-populated by MUX API:

RTMP Restream URL

Stream Key
-
Live Streaming Page URL

Option B: Manual Configuration

If you prefer to use a custom live streaming setup, you must manually enter:

RTMP Restream URL

Stream Key

Live Streaming Page URL

Broadcasting a Restream Webinar

Once a Restream webinar is saved, it appears in the Webinar Listing Page with an additional broadcast icon under the "Actions" column.

Clicking on the broadcast icon opens a pop-up with:

Copy Host URL: Share with the host to start the webinar.

Continue Button: Opens the Restream webinar in a new tab with an auto-generated access token.

Note: This URL is valid for 24 hours.

Going Live as a Host

Navigate to the host URL of the Restream Webinar.

Enter your name and click "Enter Studio."

Click "Go Live" to begin the broadcast.

Attendees will now see the webinar on vFairs.

Any messages sent through the Webinar Q&A section in vFairs will appear in the Restream Chat tab.
Guest Speaker Access

Click the "Speakers" icon next to the Restream Webinar in the Webinar Listing Page.

Click the "Copy" icon to obtain the Guest URL.

The speaker can join by:

Entering their name and clicking "Join Stream."

Customizing their avatar before joining.

Note: Speakers cannot join until the host clicks "Go Live."

Joining a Restream Webinar as an Attendee

Attendees join a Restream webinar just like any other webinar in the event.

If the webinar has Q&A enabled, attendees can send questions, which the host will see in the Restream chat.
Multi-Platform Streaming (YouTube, Facebook, etc.)

To broadcast Restream sessions to multiple social media platforms:

Select "Add Social Platform" under Advanced Settings.

Enter the RTMP URL and Stream/Secret Key for the social media platform.

Click Save.

Once the host starts the session, it will simultaneously broadcast on vFairs and the selected platforms.
