Overview of the Integration Process
- Field Selection: Identify the key user profile attributes to collect during registration (e.g., name, email, phone number).
- Create Fields in vFairs: Use the vFairs Form Builder to create the necessary registration fields.
- Create Fields in Pardot: Set up the corresponding fields in Pardot to enable data synchronization.
- Field Mapping: Map the registration fields between vFairs and Pardot to ensure data consistency.
- Add Prospect to List: After creating or updating a prospect in Pardot, automatically add them to a specified list for better segmentation and follow-up.
- Integration Testing: Test the integration by registering a user and verifying that the data appears correctly in Pardot, including the prospect list membership.
Access the Integrations Dashboard
- Log in to your vFairs backend dashboard to access the integration features.
- On the left menu bar, scroll down and locate the Integrations button.
- Click the Integrations button to enter the integration hub.
- Browse through the list of available apps and select Pardot.
- Click the Configure button to begin setting up your Pardot integration.
Configuration of the Pardot Integration
- Click Launch Setup to start the process.
- Connect your Pardot account by providing your credentials. Pardot may require two-factor authentication.
- Select the Pardot account if you have multiple accounts associated.
- The integration list will then be displayed.
Configure Create or Update Prospect Integration
- Click the Setup and Enable button for the Pardot integration.
- You will be presented with a Yes/No option — always select Yes to allow prospect creation and updates.
- Click Next to proceed.
Matching Fields and Add Prospect to Pardot List
- These fields correspond to the data collected from your vFairs registration form.
- Click on a Pardot field to view all available corresponding fields from the vFairs registration data.
- Use the search box within each field to quickly find specific vFairs data fields by name (e.g., “First Name”).
- The most recently registered attendees will be identified for confirmation of field matching.
- After field matching, on the next screen, enable the option to Add prospect to list.
- Select or create the Pardot list where you want the newly created or updated prospects to be added.
- This step ensures that every prospect synced from vFairs is automatically added to the specified list for targeted marketing and follow-up.
Finalize Setup
- Click Next and then Save to confirm your integration settings.
- Your Pardot integration with vFairs is now ready and will sync attendee registration data automatically.
