How to upload profile pictures of users

Follow this simple guide to easily upload and update profile pictures for users.

Step 1: Navigate to the Participants Section

The first step is to access the Participants section in your dashboard. You can find this option in the left navigation menu

Step 2: Click on "Attendees and Registrants"

In the Participants section, select the Attendees and Registrants option. This will display a list of all the individuals who have registered for your event. You’ll be able to see their names, roles, and other relevant details.

Step 3: Open the Edit Drawer for a Specific User

To update the profile picture for a specific user, click on the Edit button next to their name. This will open the Edit Drawer, where you can modify their details, including their profile picture.

Step 4: Upload the Profile Picture

Once the Edit Drawer is open, the first field is designated for the Profile Picture. Click the Upload button (usually represented by an image icon).

Make sure the image you upload is clear, appropriately sized (2MB), and a good representation of the respective user.

Step 5: Save Your Changes

After you’ve uploaded the profile picture, don’t forget to click Save to confirm the changes. This will update the participant’s profile with the new picture, and it will be visible to other event attendees or users.

Why Profile Pictures Matter for Your Event:

  • Personalization: A profile picture makes participants feel more connected to the event, helping them put a face to a name.
  • Brand Recognition: Exhibitors and speakers especially benefit from having a recognizable image, as it boosts credibility and makes interactions more memorable.
  • Improved Engagement: Attendees are more likely to engage with profiles that include a picture, especially when networking or interacting in virtual spaces.

Tips for Uploading a Great Profile Picture:

  • High Quality: Make sure the image is high-resolution so it looks sharp and professional.
  • Appropriate Size: Ensure the image is the correct size and format (usually JPEG, PNG, or GIF). Check the platform’s specifications for image dimensions.
  • Professional Image: For speakers and exhibitors, ensure the profile picture reflects a professional appearance. For attendees, casual but clear photos are generally preferred.

By following these simple steps, you can easily update the profile pictures of your users with different roles, making their profiles more engaging and professional. This small but impactful step helps create a more personalized and interactive event experience for everyone involved.
