      Connecting the badge printing app with Epson C3500

      Learn to set up the Epson C3500 Printer with this step-by-step guide for configuring the printer and badge printing using the vfairs badge printing app.

      Guide to Setting Up the Epson C3500 Printer

      Step 1: Setting up the Router

      • Connect the printer with the router via ethernet (LAN) cable. Plug one end of the LAN cable into the printer, and the other end into a LAN Port in the router.
      • Once connected to the power supply ensure the antennas are upright, especially if in a double flap case. 

      NOTE: (For Pepwave Router Only) use the two black ports on the router, not the white one.

      Step 2: Setting up the Printer - Epson C3500

      1. Connect the Power Adapter to the Power Cable and the other end to the printer. 

      2. Push the Power Button by the top left corner. The printer will take 20 seconds- 5 minutes to boot up and the LCD screen will display “Ready”.

      3. Installing Ink cartridges, the printer comes with Ink installed. Follow the steps mentioned below to replace empty Ink cartridges. Only while printer is not being used and in “ready” state.

      • Open the front right panel of the printer.

      • Push-release the empty cartridge softly to release it from the printer then pull it out.
      • Shake the new Ink cartridge a few times before removing it from its packaging.

         

      Step 3: Installing the Media-Loading Roll Paper

      1. Open the front door by pulling the dark grey latch. Now remove the “Paper Feed Guide” a shown below

      2. Lift the blue latch on the inside of the printer (left side) and adjust the width of the Roll Guide. 3. Insert the Roll to have it feed paper over its top, not the bottom. Pull some badge stock out and push the blue latch down to lock it in place.
      4. Close the front panel leaving a bit of paper sticking out to begin auto calibration.

      Step 4:  Installing the Media-Loading Fanfold Badge Stock

      1. Lift the back lid of the printer (and if needed lift the blue lever to adjust for the media with.)

      2.  Making sure the orientation is correct. e.g., Black timing mark facing down, leading first with arrows facing towards the printer. Carefully feed the badge stock into the back of the printer until it comes to a stop and then printer pulls it through. Do Not push the badge stock too hard.

      Step 5: Setting up the Printer - Epson C3500

      1. Once media (rolls or fanfold badge stock) is installed, Install the Dispense Tray beneath the media dispenser and snap the left & right notches into the setting. 

      Step 6: vFairs Badge Printing Windows Application

      • Open the Given Link and install the app on windows system.

      • Once installed, log into the application and put in your credentials.

      Step 7: vFairs  Badge Printing App

      • Enter your login credentials to access the app.

      • Navigate to App Settings, then Printer Settings/Connection, and connect to your printer. 

      • Return to the main screen and select 'Badge Printing Module.' You can either scan the attendee's QR code or search for their name. After selecting a user, confirm to print the badge.
