How admins can check-in users

Learn how event admins can check in users efficiently using the vFairs platform to manage attendee entry seamlessly

Activating the Check-In Feature for the Mobile Application

  1. On the left navigation of the Backend Dashboard, click on Mobile Settings:
  2. Click on QR Code, Check-In, and Contact Exchange

  3. Activate Check-In by enabling the following toggle:
  4. Scroll down and click Update Settings:
  5. The Check-In feature has been enabled. Now, admins will be able to check-in attendees to the event, as well as to specific sessions.

 

Checking in Attendees via the Mobile Application

  1. Log in to the mobile app using your admin credentials. 
  2. On the home screen, click on the Menu button in the bottom navigation:

  3. Click on Admin Section:
  4. Click on Admin Check-In:
  5. You will now have two options to choose from: Event Check-In and Session Check-In.

Event Check-In:

This option allows you to check in attendees for the overall event

  1. Clicking Event Check-In will open a QR code scanner using which you can scan attendees' QR codes to check them into the event. 
  2. Scanning the attendee's QR code will display their profile, where you will find a Check-In button. Click this button to successfully check the attendee into the event.
  3. Check-Out Process

    Once checked in, the attendee's profile will show a "Check-Out" button. Press this to update their attendance status and complete the check-out process.

     

Session Check-In:

This option allows you to check in attendees for specific sessions within the event.

  1. Clicking Session Check-In will open a list of sessions. Click on the one you want to check in the attendee to:
  2. This will open a QR code scanner using which you can scan attendees' QR codes to check them into this session.

  3. Scanning the attendee's QR code will display their profile, where you will find a Check-In button. Click this button to successfully check the attendee into the event.
  4. Check-Out Process

    Once checked in, the attendee's profile will show a "Check-Out" button. Press this to update their attendance status and complete the check-out process.

     

 

Checking in Attendees via the Event Backend (Event Check-In Only)

  1. Log in to the Event Backend Portal using your admin credentials. 
  2. On the left navigation of the Backend Dashboard, click on Participants. Then click on Attendees & Registrants.
  3. Enable the check-in toggle next to the user's name to successfully check them into the event.

  4. To check an attendee out of the event, simply disable the check-in toggle.
