How to set up and send email campaigns to abstract management module specific user segments

Learn how to create and launch email campaigns targeting submitters, authors, and reviewers of abstract submissions using the email campaign builder. This feature enhances communication with users beyond the default email notifications.

1. In the backend, head over to the "Marketing" section and click on the "Email Campaigns" option.

2. Click on "Create New Campaign" and fill out the fields such as "Campaign Name", "Email Type", "Category", "From Name", and "From Email".

3. In the audience segment section, scroll down to see the abstract management module specific users. 

  • All Submitters: sends out the email campaign to all the users existing under this user role.
  • All Authors & Co-Authors: sends out the campaign to all users who have been added as authors or co-authors by the submitters of the abstracts.
  • Submitters with no Submissions: sends out the email campaigns to submitters who have registered but have not added any of the submissions to their dashboard.
  • Submitters with Draft Submissions: sends out email campaigns to submitters who have commenced the abstract addition process but have submissions in the draft mode.
  • Submitters with Completed Submissions:  sends out email campaigns to submitters who have commenced the abstract addition process but have completed their submissions.
  • All Reviewers: sends out the email campaign to all the users existing under the reviewer user role.
  • Reviewers with Pending Reviews: sends out email campaigns to reviewers who have been assigned submissions for review purposes but they haven't given any feedback as of yet.
  • Reviewers with Completed Reviews: Sends out email campaigns to reviewers who have completed their reviews on the assigned submissions.
  • Select Custom Abstract Management Users: Lets the sender of the campaign build up a custom user segment from all of the users that exist under the abstract management module's users list. 

4. After selecting the user segment, click the "Continue" button to move forward with composing the email to be sent using the campaign builder tool.

5. Send the campaign or schedule it to be sent at a later point of time.
