      How to Enable or Disable the Force Update App Feature

      In this guide, we’ll walk you through the steps on how to enable or disable the Force Update App feature in your mobile app settings.

      Steps to Enable or Disable Force Update App

      Step 1: Navigate to Mobile App Settings

      Start by logging into your event or app management platform. From the main menu, navigate to the Mobile Settings section.


      Step 2: Go to App Version Manager

      Within the Mobile Settings, find and click on App Version Manager. This section is where you manage different app versions and can configure settings like forced updates, version numbers, and links to app stores.


      Step 3: Enable the Force Update Toggle

      In the App Version Manager, locate the toggle for Force Update App. This toggle controls whether or not users will be forced to update the app before they can access it.

      • Action: Slide the toggle to the enabled position to activate the Force Update feature.

      Step 4: Enter the Current Version of the App

      Once you have enabled the Force Update App toggle, you will need to input the current version of the app in the relevant fields.

      • Action: Write the current version of your app in the fields designated for App Version in each store (for iOS and Android). This ensures that the system knows which version is the most recent.

      Tip: Make sure to double-check the app version numbers for both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store to ensure the version is correctly referenced.

      Step 5: Paste Store Links in the Relevant Fields

      After entering the version numbers, you will need to copy the links to your app in both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. These links are necessary to redirect users to the stores if they need to update the app.

      • Action: Copy the Google Play Store link for your app (e.g., https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.example.app) and paste it into the relevant field for Android users.

      • Action: Similarly, copy the Apple App Store link for your app (e.g., https://apps.apple.com/us/app/id1234567890) and paste it into the relevant field for iOS users.

      Tip: These links will redirect users to the appropriate store page when they are prompted to update the app.

      Step 6: Save Changes

      Once you've enabled the toggle and entered all the relevant version information and store links, be sure to save your changes.
