      How to add coupon codes/discount codes associated with a ticket type?

      Learn how to create and manage coupons in vFairs, including setting unique codes, discount types, values, and expiration dates. This guide covers applying coupons to specific tickets, managing usage limits, and testing coupons for event registration.

       

      Step 1: Access the Event's Admin Dashboard

      1. Log in to the vFairs Admin panel using your credentials.
      2. From the left-hand navigation panel, locate and click on the registration menu tab.
      3. Click Coupon Manager in the sub-menu.

      Step 2: Navigate to the Coupons Section

      1. Once you are in Coupons' manager, you will have a listing where you can manage your coupons.
      2. Once inside, click Add New Coupon to create a new discount code.

      Step 3: Configure Coupon Details

      1. Coupon Code: Enter a unique code for your coupon (e.g., "EARLYBIRD" or "SUMMER2024").
      2. Discount Type: Select the type of discount you want to offer:
        • Percentage Discount: Apply a percentage discount (e.g., 10% off).
        • Fixed Amount Discount: Apply a fixed dollar amount discount (e.g., $50 off).
      3. Discount Value: Enter the percentage or amount for the discount depending on the type selected.
      4. Group discount: If you have group registration, whether you want to apply the discount on the total order / number of tickets bought.
      5. Expiry Date: Set the expiration date for the coupon to determine its validity period.
      6. Max Uses: Specify how many times the coupon can be used by different users (or leave it blank for unlimited usage).

      Step 4: Apply the Coupon to Specific Ticket(s) 

      1. You can apply the coupon to specific ticket(s).
      2. Scroll to the Select ticket field and choose the packages where this coupon will be valid.

      Step 5: Save the Coupon

      1. Once all the details are filled out, click on Save Coupon.
      2. The coupon will now be active and can be applied by registrants during the event registration process.

      Step 6: Test the Coupon

      1. You can now test the coupon by going to the registration form for the event. You can find it by clicking on the preview in the registration form you have setup earlier.
      2. During the payment step, enter the coupon code to see the discount applied.
