# How to Add a Welcome Video to the Web Platform
## Adding a welcome video to your web platform is an excellent way to greet attendees, provide important information, or set the tone for your event. Follow these simple steps to upload and configure a welcome video for your platform.
#### Step 1: Access the Event Setup Section
1. Log in to your backend portal.
2. Navigate to the **Event Setup** section in the left-hand navigation menu.
#### Step 2: Open Live Settings
1. Within the Event Setup section, locate and click on **Live Event** **Settings**.
#### Step 3: Add the Welcome Video
1. Look for the field labeled **Add Welcome Video**
2. Click on the field to upload your video file or paste the URL of a hosted video (e.g., YouTube or Vimeo link).
3. You can enable the toggle 'Welcome Video Play Only Once' to limit the video play to once.
**Tip:** Ensure the video is relevant, engaging, and optimized for web viewing.
#### Step 4: Save the Changes
1. After adding the video, scroll down to the bottom of the page.
2. Click on the **Update Settings** button to save your changes.
#### Tips for Creating an Effective Welcome Video
- **Keep It Concise:** Aim for a duration of 1-2 minutes to maintain viewer attention.
- **Focus on Key Messages:** Highlight important details, such as event objectives, schedules, or navigation tips.
