How to Add Conditional Logic and Multi-Select in Lead Capture Form Builder

This article explains how organizers and exhibitors can enhance their Lead Capture Forms by adding conditional logic and multi-select options directly from the Lead Capture Form Builder.

Step-by-Step Guide

Step 1: Open the Lead Capture Form Builder

  1. Go to the Lead Capture section in the left navigation panel.

  2. Click on Lead Forms.

  3. Find the Lead Capture Form you want to edit.

  4. Click the Edit Form Fields 📝 icon in front of that form.
→ This opens the Form Builder Interface, where you can manage and customize all form fields.

Step 2: Add Conditional Logic

Conditional logic allows certain fields to appear, hide, or become mandatory based on a user’s previous responses.

  1. In the Form Builder screen, locate the field where you want to apply logic.

  2. Click on the Add Condition button present under that field.
  3. Fill in the fields that appear

  4. In the new condition row that appears:

    • Choose a Trigger Field (the field that drives the logic).

    • Define the Condition (e.g., Equals, Not Equals, Contains).

    • Enter the Value that triggers the action.

    • Select what happens to this field — Show, Hide, Make Required, or Make Optional.

  5. Repeat the process to add multiple conditions if needed.

Example:
If the field “Interested in Demo” equals Yes, then show the field “Preferred Demo Time”.

Step 3: Add a Multi-Select Field

You can allow users to select multiple options (e.g., multiple products or interests) using the Checkbox component.

  1. From the left toolbar in the Form Builder, click Checkbox to add it to your form.

  2. Once added, click the Setup (⚙️) icon of the Checkbox field.

  3. In the pop-up window:

    • Enter a Field Title (e.g., Select Interested Products).

    • Add all the Options users can choose from (e.g., Product A, Product B, Product C).

    • You can add, remove, or reorder options as needed.

  4. Click Save & Close to apply changes.

Tip: Checkbox fields automatically support multiple selections — users can tick more than one option.

Step 4: Save and Finalize the Form

Once both conditional logic and multi-select options are configured:

  1. Click the Save Form button at the top-right corner of the screen.

  2. The form will update automatically with your new configurations.

  3. Conditional logic and multi-select functionality will now be active and functional within your Lead Capture Form.

Best Practices

  • Use conditional logic sparingly for smoother user flow — too many conditions can make forms confusing.

  • Test your form after saving to verify logic and multi-select functionality.

  • Ensure checkbox labels are clear and concise.
