How to add timed menu items in the navigation bar

Timed menu items in the navigation bar allow you to display specific menu options during a designated timeframe, adding dynamic functionality to your app or website. Follow the steps below to enable timed menu items in the navigation bar.

Step 1: Access the Event Content Section

  1. Log in to your backend portal.

  2. Navigate to the Event Content section in the left-hand menu.

Step 2: Open the Menu Builder

  1. In the Event Content section, click on Menu Builder.

    This will take you to the menu editor, where you can customize navigation options.

Step 3: Access the Menu Editor

  1. In the menu editor, click on the Below Header button to open the menu items listed under the header section.

Step 4: Select a Menu Item

  1. From the list of menu items displayed, click 'Edit' icon on the menu item you wish to configure. i.e I am selecting Exhibit Hall as an example.

  2. Scroll down in the menu item settings to locate Timed Menu Item.  

Step 5: Enable Timed Menu Item

  1. Click on the toggle to enable the timed menu item functionality.

  2. Once enabled, you can configure the timing for when the menu item should appear or disappear.

  3. You can also enable the option to move users back to lobby at closing time.

Step 6: Save Your Changes

  1. Click on the Update Item button to apply the changes.

  • Plan Ahead: Set clear timings that align with your event schedule or promotional campaigns.

  • Test the Functionality: Verify that the menu item appears and disappears as expected based on the configured time.
