If you're managing a multilingual event on vFairs, you can easily add or update translations for various labels using the CSV import feature. Follow these steps to streamline the process.
Step 1: Access the Translations & Labels Section
-
Log in to your vFairs admin dashboard.
-
Navigate to the Event Settings.
-
Click on the Translations & Labels tab.
Step 2: Download the CSV Template
-
Click the Import button located at the top right corner.
-
Select Download CSV to get the current translations file.
The downloaded CSV file will contain:
-
A Key column representing the identifier for each label.
-
An English column with the default text.
-
Additional columns for each available language (e.g., Arabic, Chinese, Portuguese, Spanish, French).
Step 3: Add Your Translations
-
Open the CSV file using a spreadsheet editor like Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
-
Locate the labels you wish to translate.
-
In the corresponding language columns, enter the translated text for each label.
-
Ensure that you do not modify the Key column, as it is crucial for mapping translations correctly.
-
After adding all translations, save the file in CSV format.
Step 4: Upload the Updated CSV File
-
Return to the Translations & Labels tab in your vFairs admin dashboard.
-
Click the Import button again.
-
Select Upload CSV and choose the updated file from your computer.
-
Confirm the upload.
Upon successful upload, the translations will be updated across your event platform.
Tips for a Smooth Translation Process
-
Maintain the CSV Structure: Do not alter the headers or the order of columns in the CSV file.
-
Test Translations: After uploading, review your event pages to verify that translations appear correctly.
