How to configure Agenda Layout for your landing pages

Learn how to use the "Agenda Layout" builder to create your agenda from scratch by selecting from a variety of layout templates featuring different session arrangements, color schemes, and alignment patterns.

The agenda is a crucial element of events, and our backend features an agenda layout builder that enables event organizers to create session-specific agendas based on their associated tracks. This tool provides a variety of template designs, date/time formats, color options, and the flexibility to link sessions to different tracks.

This article outlines the step-by-step process for creating an agenda on the landing page.

STEPS FOLLOWED BY A USER

  1. Upon logging in to the event’s backend, the user navigates to the “Agenda Layout” section located under the “Event Content” header.

NOTE: Prior to using the layout tool it is to be ensured that session tracks have been created via the “Session Tracks” section under “Sessions” header and the event’s sessions have been associated with those tracks.

2. Clicking the "Agenda Layout" section opens the builder tool, providing options to configure the agenda layout based on the event's requirements. The first step is to either manually select the desired session tracks or use the "Select All" checkbox to include all created tracks in the agenda layout from the "Session Track(s)" selection section.

3. Next step is to select the “Agenda Date/Time Format” from the different styling options in the dropdown selection section.

There additionally exists an “End Date/Time” checkbox above the selection section that lets the user decide if they want to include the end date/time in the agenda layout

4. Next step is to pick up the agenda design template from the “Agenda Style” dropdown that consists of a range of different styling templates.

The available styling options include:

  • Templates for regular session tracks arrangement
  • Templates for tracks which include parent/child relationships
  • Template to arrange sessions in grid view format.

5. After adjusting all the elements, the user clicks the "Preview" button to quickly see how the agenda will appear on the landing page. This action displays the full design on the preview layout screen located on the right side of the builder section.
Users can select/deselect tracks or switch between templates followed by clicking on the “Preview” button and the layout will dynamically update on the right hand side.

    6. Once all design elements are finalized, the user can click the "Save" button to ensure that the applied changes are stored and reflected on the landing page.

NOTE: For ensuring that the agenda appears on the landing page, users have to go to the Landing Page CMS through Event Content> Event Page Manager> Home, edit the page and go to Source code. Add a shortcode before or after the section where they want the Agenda to show on the frontend.

    7. Each time a user makes edits to the layout, it is essential to click the "Clear Cache" button located below the event's main navigation menu in the backend. After doing so, refreshing the landing page will display the updates.
