How to create a new event

Learn how to create a new event from the organization dashboard using the Event Setup Wizard. This guide walks you through adding event details and configuring settings for Virtual, Hybrid, or In-Person events.

Steps to Create a New Event:

  1. Navigate to the Event Setup Wizard:
    • From the Organization Dashboard, click the Event Setup button at the top-right corner of your screen.


  2. Fill in Event Details:
    A popup will appear prompting you to add key event details
    1. Event Type: Choose from Virtual, Hybrid, or In-Person events.
    2. Event Access Type: Select from:
      Full Event Access: For full access to all event modules.
      Sessions & Registrations: For events with access to selected modules i.e. Registration, Sessions, Landing Page Builder, Marketing, Integrations, Analytics, and Mobile App.





    3. Add Event Title:
      Input the Title for your event



    4. Customize Event URL:
      1. The event URL will auto-generate based on the title, but you can modify it.
      2. Click Check Availability to ensure the URL is unique.
        If unavailable, update the URL to ensure uniqueness.


    5. Select Event Format:
      Choose a format that best matches your event type, such as Conference, Tradeshow, Job Fair, or any other option from the available list.



    6. Choose Event Languages:
      Select the language(s) from the multi-select field for your event. If your event will be in multiple languages, select all applicable options from the list.



    7. Set Event Timezone:
      Select the time zone that matches your event location, which will reflect on the event site.




    8. Select Event Start & End Dates:
      Choose the Start Date & Time and End Date & Time for the event.



       
    9. Department Selection:
      By default, choose All Departments. If department-level access is set up, select the relevant department.




    10. Select Server Location:
      Choose a server location from the list to determine where event data should be stored.



    11. Update Event Location:
      Specify the physical or virtual event location.




    12. Create Event:
      1. Once all details are filled, click Create Event.
      2. Your new event will be added to your organization dashboard within a few seconds.



    13. Access the Event Backend:
      As the event owner, you can access the event backend by clicking the relevant icon displayed.
