# How to Edit User Profiles from the Backend Using the Extended Profile
## This guide will walk you through the process of editing user profiles using the extended profile options in your system.
### Step 1: Navigate to the Participants Section
Start by logging into your backend system. Locate and click on the **Participants** section from the main navigation menu. This section is dedicated to managing all participant-related information and settings.
### Step 2: Access the User List
Within the Participants section, select **Attendees and Registrants**.
### Step 3: Initiate Profile Editing
Locate the user whose profile you want to edit and click on the edit icon next to their name. This icon is represented by a pencil. Clicking this will open the edit drawer where you can modify the user's basic information.
### Step 4: Edit Extended Profile
Once in the edit mode, scroll down to find the **Edit Extended Profile** button at the end of the edit drawer. Click this button to access additional profile fields and options that allow for more detailed information entry and adjustments. This feature is for the visitors only.
### Step 5: Make Changes to the Extended Profile
In the extended profile section, edit the user's profile details.
### Step 6: Save the Changes
After making all the necessary edits to the user's profile, ensure to review the changes to confirm they are accurate and complete. Click the **Save** button to apply the changes.
