How to Enable Chat Queue

This guide provides step-by-step instructions to enable the chat queue within the event backend.

Steps to Enable a Chat Queue Template

  1. Access the Event Backend
    • Navigate to the backend of the desired event.
  2. Go to the Chat Settings Section
    • Select the "Networking" menu.
  3. Enable Chat Queue Settings
    • Navigate to the Chat Queue Settings section.
    • Enable the Chat Queue Settings toggle
    • Once enabled, additional settings related to the chat queue will appear.
  4. Configure Chat Queue Settings
    • Default Duration of Queued Conversations (Minutes):
      • By default, this is set to 1 minute. You can edit this value to set the desired duration for queued conversations.
    • Default Number of Concurrent Conversations:
      • By default, this is set to 2 users. You can adjust this to change the number of users who can participate in concurrent conversations. Any additional users will be placed in the waiting queue.
    • Enable Chat Queue Extension:
      • By default, this is enabled, allowing the admin to extend the time duration for any attendee's chat if needed. Disabling this will block the admin from extending chat durations.
    • Default Extension Duration for Queued Conversations (Minutes):
      • By default, this is set to 1 minute. When a chat is extended, it will automatically increase by this default duration. You can update this value to a desired duration.
    • Limit Number of Queued Chats for Attendees:
      • By default, this setting is disabled, meaning attendees can join an unlimited number of queued chats.
      • To restrict this, enable the setting and define the limit in the "Number of Queues an Attendee Can Be" field, which becomes visible upon enabling this option.
