How to Manage Tags in the Event Management Dashboard

Tags provide a unified and consistent way to classify Events and Assets. With centralized management, you can ensure standardization, governance, and easy reusability across the platform.

Access Tags

  1. Log in to the Event Management Dashboard.

  2. Navigate to Tags in the side menu.


Create a Tag

  1. In the Custom Tags page, click Add Custom Tag.

  1. Fill in the following fields:

    Field Description
    Name A unique tag identifier. Must not include spaces.
    Category Choose Global, Events, or Assets.
    Description (Optional) Add details for clarity.
  2. Click Save Custom Tag.


Permissions

  • Only users with the correct RBAC permissions can create, edit, or delete tags.

  • By default, Organization Owners and Organization Admins have permission to manage tags.


Apply Tags to Events

  • Click Create New Event.

  • After filling in event details, open the Tag dropdown and select the required tags.

  • Multiple tags can be applied.

  • Continue with the rest of the event setup process.

  • The event will now have the selected tags applied.

Note: Tags can also be applied when copying or editing an existing event.


Apply Tags to Assets

  • When creating or uploading a new asset, open the Tag dropdown.

  • Select the required tags from the list.

  • Multiple tags can be applied.

  • Save the asset to confirm the tag assignment.

Note: Tags can also be applied when editing an existing asset.


Outcome

  • Tags are now consistently applied across Events and Assets.

  • This improves discoverability, reporting, and governance by ensuring a single source of truth.
