How to Manage vFairs Registration Form Layouts

This guide provides an overview of the layout options available in the vFairs registration form, specifically focusing on ticket control and the simple view.

1. Ticket Control (Top View Layout)

The Top View Layout places the ticket selection at the beginning of the registration form. This layout is useful for events where selecting a ticket is the primary action users need to take.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to the Registration Form Settings:
    • Access the event dashboard >> registration >> form builder.
    • Go to the "Registration Form".
  2. Select Top View Layout (tickets show first then registrants' details are filled):
    • In the registration form , from the left hand side,  choose Ticket Control Card view. Top view is default view in this one unless turned off.
  3. Fields Arrangement:
    • In this layout settings, the ticket selection appears at the top by default unless turned off.
    • After selecting the ticket, the user will proceed to fill out the remaining form fields (personal information, event-specific questions, etc.).
  4. Payment Process:
    • Payment options will follow once the form is filled out and the ticket is confirmed.

2. Ticket Control (Bottom View Layout)

The Bottom View Layout displays the ticket selection after all other form fields are completed. This layout can be helpful when collecting detailed attendee information first, before offering ticket options.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to the Registration Form Settings:
    • From the event dashboard, go to the "Registration' >> form builder
  2. Select Bottom View Layout:
    • Choose Ticket settings by hovering over the ticket element. Toggle off the top view or drag and drop the ticket settings to the bottom.

  3. Fields Arrangement:
    • In this layout, attendees will first see form fields to input personal information and respond to event-specific questions.
    • After completing the fields, the ticket selection appears at the bottom of the form.
  4. Payment Process:
    • Once the ticket is selected, the user will proceed to payment, if necessary.

3. Simple View (Without Payments)

The Simple View offers a streamlined version of the registration form without ticket selection or payment integration. This layout is ideal for events without tickets or for free events where no payment is required.

Steps:

  1. Navigate to the Registration Form Settings:
    • From the event dashboard, go to Registration >> form builder, access the "Attendee Registration Form" section.
  2. Toggle on Simple View:
    • Choose Ticket control >> settings >> Toggle on simple view under the advanced options.

  3. Fields Arrangement:
    • The form will display fields in a straightforward manner, focusing solely on collecting attendee information.
    • Since there is no ticketing process, users simply fill out the form and submit it directly.
