Ensuring a respectful and professional environment during your event is crucial. By enabling the profanity filter, you can automatically remove explicit language from chat messages.
Follow these steps to set it up:
Accessing Profanity Filter Settings
- Log in to the Backend and click the ‘Networking’ tab in the sidebar to access 'Chat Settings' screen.
- Click the "Profanity Filter Settings" tab seen in the left menu bar of the Chat Settings screen to access the profanity filter.
Configuring the Profanity Filter
Enable Profanity Filter: In the Profanity Filter Settings, toggle on the ‘ Enable Profanity Filter’ to activate the feature.
Set the Filtering Preferences:
- Use the "Enable Custom Profanity Filter" to add custom words that needs to be filtered

- Redact Full Message: Completely hide messages containing profanity.
- Redact Profanity Words Only: Replace explicit words with asterisks or other symbols, keeping the rest of the message visible. Use the ‘Enable Default Profanity Filter’ option to choose how explicit language is managed.
