Set your event visibility as Public (searchable) or Private (hidden) during creation, view it in listings, or update anytime in settings.
Event Visibility lets you control whether your event is Public (searchable) or Private (hidden from search engines). You can set this when creating an event, view it in your organisation’s event listings, and update it later in Event Settings.
1. Set Event Visibility During Event Creation
You can choose your event’s visibility in the event creation process.
Here’s how:
- The Event Visibility field is the last one after the group.
- Click the dropdown to choose one of the following:
- Public – Your event will be searchable on search engines.
- Private – Your event will not be indexed by search engines.
- Public – Your event will be searchable on search engines.
- Complete the remaining steps and publish your event.
2. View Event Visibility in Organisation Event Listings
You can quickly check an event’s visibility from your organisation’s event listings.
To view visibility:
- Open your organisation’s event listing page.
- Enable the Event Visibility column.
- Review the list to see which events are Public and which are Private without having to open each event.
3. Update Event Visibility from Event Settings
If you need to change visibility after creating an event, you can do so in Event Settings.
Here’s how:
- Open the event listing page.
- Locate the event you want to edit.
- Go to Event Settings.
- Find the Event Visibility dropdown.
- Select Public or Private.
- Save your changes.
