Guide: Setting Up a Room in Spatial Connect
The vFairs Spatial Connect feature is a networking tool designed to enhance virtual event interactions through spatial audio. This feature allows participants to engage in more natural conversations by simulating real-world spatial dynamics. Users can hear others based on their virtual proximity, creating a more immersive experience where they can join, leave, or shift focus in conversations smoothly. It’s ideal for events aiming to foster organic networking and encourage spontaneous, lifelike group discussions.
Steps to Add a Room

Navigate to Spatial Connect
- In the vFairs admin dashboard, go to Networking.
- Select Spatial Connect from the dropdown menu.

Open the Room Creation Screen
- In the Spatial Connect area, click the option to Add Room. This will open a form where you can configure the room details.

Enter Room Details
- Room Name: Type a name for the room (e.g., "Meeting Room").
- Layout: Choose a layout for the room from the dropdown options. The layout will determine how attendees interact with each other within the room.

Set a Background Image
- Under Background Image, you have two options:
- Upload from File: Click to upload an image file (supported formats are SVG, PNG, JPG, or GIF).
- Drag and Drop: Alternatively, drag and drop your chosen image into the upload area.

Specify Room Capacity
- Capacity: Select the maximum number of attendees who can join the room at any one time. Adjusting capacity can help manage room size for optimal audio experience.

Save the Room
- After configuring all settings, click Save to create the room. Your new room will now appear in the Spatial Connect room list.

- You can also broadcast screen share to share and collaborate with tools such as Miro, Kahoot, or any presentation for all people in the room.
- Reporting module on the time spent for each room is available for online consumption as well as can be downloaded as a CSV and PDF.
