How to Send SMS Notifications When Printing Badges

Accessing SMS Notification Settings

Log in to the Event Backend.
From the left navigation menu, go to:
Badge Printing App → Badge Printing Settings
Locate the toggle:
Send SMS Notification on Badge Print?

Enabling SMS Notifications

Enable the Send SMS Notification on Badge Print? toggle.

Once enabled, additional SMS configuration settings will appear on the screen.

Choosing Where SMS Notifications Are Sent

You will see a dropdown field titled:

Choose an option to send SMS

This dropdown includes two options:

Send SMS on a single number for all attendees
Send SMS to different number for each attendee

Sending SMS to a Single Number

Select:

Send SMS on a single number for all attendees

A field titled: "Phone number where SMS will be sent" will appear.

Enter the phone number where all badge printing SMS notifications should be delivered.

This option is useful when event organizers want all badge printing updates to be sent to a centralized number.

Sending SMS to Attendees Individually

If you want each attendee to receive their own SMS notification when their badge is printed, select:

Send SMS to different number for each attendee

The field will update to:

Select the registration form field where phone number is saved

From this dropdown, select the phone number field from your registration form.

Important: Your registration form must already contain a phone number field for this setup to work correctly.

Once configured, attendees will automatically receive SMS notifications on the phone number they used during registration whenever their badge is printed.

Creating Dynamic SMS Messages

Use the field:

Enter the message content to be sent via SMS

to create your SMS notification message.

You can type a static message or personalize it using dynamic tags.

To insert a dynamic field:

Type @
A dropdown list of available tags will appear
Select the desired field

Example:

Hi @First_Name, your badge has been printed successfully.

When the SMS is sent, the selected tag will automatically be replaced with the attendee’s actual information.

Testing SMS Notifications

You will also see an optional option titled:

Test SMS Message

Clicking this option opens a popup where you can enter:

A phone number
A test message

This allows you to verify that SMS notifications are working correctly before using them during your event.

Once configured, SMS notifications will automatically be triggered whenever badges are printed through the Onsite App.
