How to Import Discount Coupons via CSV

Bulk import your discount coupons to save time and streamline your setup process. This guide explains how to use the Import feature in the Coupon Manager.

Where to Find the Import Feature

1. Navigate to:
   Registrations > Coupon Manager
   
   

1. Click the Import button at the top right of the list view.

Step 1: Download the CSV Template

Click on the Import Button and then Download CSV. This provides a sample CSV with example data and headers.

Step 2: Upload the CSV File

1. Click Upload CSV and select your completed file.
   
2. The system will validate the data before importing.
   
   

Validation Rules

To ensure a successful import, make sure your file follows the rules below:

 Required Fields:

• Coupon Name 
• Discount Code (Must be unique)
• Discount Type:
  • Discount Amount, Discount Percentage, or Fixed Discount
• Discount Value
  Coupon for Add-on or Package:
  • Must be one of Packages, Add-ons, or Both
• Start At and Ends At
  • Format: MM/DD/YYYY
• Package ID (if coupon applies to Packages or Both)
  • Here’s how to find your Package ID:

• AddOn ID (if coupon applies to Add-ons or Both)
  • Here’s how to find your Add-on ID:

• Limit to One Use per Attendee (Yes/No)

Optional Fields:

• Limit (0 or blank = unlimited)

Error Handling & Validation Messages

If there are any issues in the CSV file, the import will be blocked. You will:

• Be prompted to download an error log file detailing:
  • Row number
  • Error(s)
    
    

Common Errors:

Success Message & Coupon Import

If the CSV is valid:

• You’ll see a message like:
    “4 Coupons Imported Successfully”
• You’ll be redirected to the Coupon Manager where the new coupons are listed.
